Volunteer at WTC 2027
Join our volunteer team at the World Taido Championships 2027.
To make WTC 2027 a great experience for everyone who comes here, we need many helping hands. There is a role for everyone, whether you want to be close to the action or make sure everything runs smoothly around it.
Taidoka from around the world will come together in Sweden, and we would love for you to be part of it. Whether you live in Sweden or are travelling here from abroad, you are welcome in our team.
Getting ready: Wednesday july 28th
On the day before the championships, we will prepare the venue together. We need a strong team to lay out mats and set up the competition areas. It is a good way to meet the rest of the volunteer team before the event starts.
During the championships
During the competition days, there are many roles to fill in and around the competition area:
- Secretariat Keep track of scores, draws and administration.
- Timekeepers and scorekeepers Sit at the match tables and make sure that times and results are correct.
- Court assistants Make sure the right competitors are in the right place, on time, before their matches.
- General support A flexible role. You help out wherever you are needed most.
Team hosts: do you speak another language?
We want all our international guests to feel welcome. That is why we are looking for team hosts. As a team host, you are a friendly face and the first point of contact for a visiting team during their stay.
We are especially looking for people who speak:
- Japanese
- Finnish
- Portuguese
- English
